Con te partirò

I bequeath unto your heart what your heart may hold

Whispered within quiet of what is possible
insistent by actions agreeable to soft soul
lest fragile beauty's promise be ever broken
lest brevity defines what burns ever brightly

God gathers each of my secret wishes for you
of this my spirit remains confident in truth

Wondrous wide imaginings within mortal mind
illustrate what dwells far deeper concerning love
the likes of which expression can't completely explain
here within often harsh human limitation

Yearning is no yoke while yielded to such magic
occurring above any practicality
underneath nothing else in the whole universe

  1. I think this is the way to do acrostic. So beautifully done. "lest fragile beauty's promise be ever broken" Such tenderness in this line. ~Pamela
