Offline Chromebooking

After reading yet another article telling me that without internet access my Chromebook was basically a doorstop, I decided to put that to the test.
Google Docs functioned just fine in offline mode. A decent word processor that syncs to the cloud when it can shouldn't be underestimated.
Note taking with Scratchpad worked similarly.
Calculator was a go. 4 plus 4 was 8 even with no connection to the internet.
Angry Birds played. Yay!
Music files I had downloaded popped up in a tiny player, and actually played.

So yes, you can do things with it without being online. I love this thing.
