Breaking Dawn
Last night I saw Expendables 2 with my sister, and her husband. It was cute. Chuck Norris popping up out of nowhere is always fun.
Right now I am watching Breaking Dawn Part 1, which Netflix so kindly sent. It's funny how I remember the things people said at the movie theater when I viewed it there. Though there are many "important" things which escape me on a regular basis.
I was delightfully surprised to find out I was in Allpoetry.com's latest anthology of poetry. They asked me to be part of it literally years ago. I think they did a great job on the book. I noticed that mine is in fact the shortest of poems in it. When I wrote it I remember understanding 100 % of my word choices. Now I only have a roughly 75 % grasp on my own words now in print. Yet I realize that like with other things I pen the meaning could change with time, and I may look at it differently in the future.(+, it WAS written about 4 years ago. lol)
Here are the links to the poem online, and the book it is now a part of:

Reading Between The Lines Of The Bible
My mind is on Christianity at the moment. It must have been quite nice before all the dogma and canon set in.(Besides the persecution that is.) I'm certain there was a time when none of the followers of The Way looked to a set of texts and said, "This is word of God, unchangeable." I can't imagine Jesus ever said anything like, "Listen up! After I'm gone some dudes are going to get together and decide what I was all about. You better read and obey their books or else!" I just don't see that as what went down. I think Jesus probably taught basic spiritual truths in language those contemporary to him could begin to understand. It's my belief that people were so identified with their message at the time, that he may have actually told people he was the only way. It's possible no one would have taken him seriously unless he used such language. They would have realized what he meant. That some people take it mean something so very literal now appears to me a mistake. That we could gain from the message, even it were proven the man never even existed strikes me as the truth. Everything exists on some level.

Warmth
I just organized my entertainment center a bit. I was having a problem because my DVD player was so light I couldn't push a button on it without knocking it over. I think I solved it by putting the iPod dock I'm using for speakers on top of it. I'm not sure if it looks funny that way or not.
I wanted some coke but only had a little over a dollar. I ended up getting some RC Cola from the corner store. It isn't really all that good. Though it does stir a few pleasant childhood memories of good times in poverty. I say the word poverty, but it doesn't come natural to me. I've never really thought of myself as being poor. Even when one winter my father chopped up the dining room set so that we could burn it in the fireplace for warmth.
In the middle of me writing this she called. Now that's the kind of welcome warmth one can't get enough of on even the hottest of days. She means everything to my heart. There's no denying it.
